Teaching Assistant for Special Needs

We are looking for experienced Special Educational and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistants to support students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Specific Learning Disability (SLD) and medical needs in a fantastic school located in Kings Lynn.

The role would involve working under the guidance of the classroom teacher, assisting and supporting students with their educational and personal development. You will work closely with the teaching team to implement individualized plans and strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with their learning, both individually and in groups
  • Implement behavioral management strategies to promote positive behavior
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide emotional and social support to students as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with ASC, SLD and medical needs
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
