The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience in steel fabrication and strong managerial skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the workshop's production schedule, ensuring efficient use of resources, and maintaining high-quality output. They will also be required to communicate effectively with subcontractors, various departments, and employees.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm. The salary for this role is approximately £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the fabrication workshop.
- Manage a team of 15-20 staff members.
- Ensure effective communication with subcontractors, departments, and employees.
- Maintain high-quality output and efficient use of resources.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in steel fabrication and management.
- NVQ or equivalent in a managerial discipline.
- Fabrication experience essential.
- Ability to read drawings.
- Some occasional weekend availability.
