Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced CMM machine operator to join our team at Optima UK Inc Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operate CMM machines using established programs and create new programs using PCDMIS software.
  2. Perform dimensional inspection on products using CMM, Verniers, micrometres, and height gauges.
  3. Perform visual and dimensional inspection on products per procedures.
  4. Perform first off inspection and in-process inspections.
  5. Ensure all First Article Inspection (FAI) packages are properly completed.
  6. Develop and modify CMM measurement programs using appropriate software.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to effectively read and understand drawings, engineering documents, purchase orders, inspection manuals, and procedures.
  2. Strong background programming and operating coordinate measuring machines using PC-DMIS software.
  3. Familiarity with AS9102 Form and First Article Inspection (FAI).
  4. Practical experience performing in-process and final inspections.
  5. Experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometres and verniers.

Desirable Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience programming/operating CMMs and performing inspection in Aerospace and/or Military/Defence Manufacturing environment.
