About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerial Survey Specialist to join our team at Bluesky International Limited. As an Airborne Sensor Operator, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality aerial survey projects to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate airborne camera and sensing systems, including Vexcel Eagle, Optech Galaxy, and Leica CityMapper.
  • Ensure sensor systems are calibrated at an operation level at all times in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
  • Liaise with sensor manufacturers regarding maintenance and other issues.
  • Collaborate with ATC and other departments for permission and coordination.
  • Flight planning and sensor installation.
  • Train other team members in flight planning, data processing, and other tasks as needed.
  • Liaise with aircraft operators to ensure all necessary permissions and visas are in place.
  • Monitor weather conditions to identify optimal data capture windows.
  • Provide technical leadership to direct and manage sensor and software development and improvement.
  • Field testing and calibration of instruments.
Requirements
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and communicate fluently in English.
  • Proven experience in aerial survey and remote sensing.
  • Experience and understanding of aerial survey and remote sensing principles.
  • Experience in flight planning and weather monitoring.
  • Organized with the ability to multitask.
  • Analytical, numeracy, and well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Diplomacy and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • A degree in a geographical, remote sensing, or GIS-related discipline.
