Job Description

Bird Bellows seeks a highly skilled Technical Product Development Lead to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of new and modified products in a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage technical proposals and cost estimates for new and modified products.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure that products meet their requirements and obtain customer approval where necessary.
  • Establish and manage qualification programmes, including drafting and checking of qualification plans, test procedures, and test reports.
  • Validate 3D models and 2D drawings to ensure they meet design requirements and obtain customer approval where necessary.
  • Manage technical risks using tools such as Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
Requirements:
  • Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience in the design and development of new and modified products in a highly regulated industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at internal and external stakeholder levels.
