This role involves performing scheduled maintenance on our Class 802 rolling stock for the Intercity Express Program on the GWR West Main Line. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, adaptability, and creativity.

This permanent position comes with a rotating day and night shift schedule. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing scheduled maintenance activities on the rolling stock in accordance with the vehicle maintenance instructions.
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities for maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Supporting the delivery of new trains and undertaking maintenance acceptance processes.
  • Undertaking preventative and corrective maintenance at testing locations, main line stations, and outstations as required.

You will be required to travel and work away from the base location for short periods. Additionally, you will support the Maintenance Team Leaders and Shift Production Managers in delivering the production plan. All work activities and stock consumption will be recorded using the maintenance management system.
