We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Team Lead to join our Painter Brothers team in Hereford. As a leading specialist in structural steel manufacture, we're embarking on a period of significant growth, driven by the UK's commitment to Net Zero by 2050. Our 50,000m2 site features a wide range of machinery, enabling us to manufacture and store any type of structural steelwork, including galvanised specialist structural steelwork.

The successful candidate will lead the maintenance team to ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and correctly. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting site facilities, including security and repairs/maintenance to building and site
  • Introducing and managing a PPM regime to cover all plant, equipment, and facilities
  • Source and manage external contractors for plant, equipment, and facilities maintenance
  • Establishing, monitoring, and improving Key Performance Indicators for safety, quality, and delivery of maintenance activity
  • Leading and facilitating a continuous improvement culture within the maintenance team
  • Monitoring and managing equipment inventory (spares)
  • Managing maintenance spend
  • Keeping maintenance logs covering all activity

The ideal candidate will have experience working collaboratively within a team environment, meeting key manufacturing deadlines, and possessing current and relevant knowledge of process manufacturing best practice.
