Wildlife Veterinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our Wildlife Centre team at Stapeley Grange, one of four RSPCA wildlife centres in England. The successful candidate will work closely with our Senior Veterinary Surgeon to provide high-quality care for a wide range of wild, exotic, and domestic animals.

• Undertake a variety of surgical and medical interventions for animals in our care
• Provide veterinary opinion and support for welfare prosecution cases
• Contribute to the development and implementation of RSPCA policies relating to wild animal rehabilitation and care
• Support the wider veterinary and wildlife rehabilitation sector with advice, guidance, and training

We are looking for a pragmatic vet with experience working in a clinical setting with wildlife and/or exotic pets or zoo species. The ideal candidate will have an interest in animal welfare work and shelter medicine, as well as the ability to work efficiently, safely, and well under time pressures.

Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons is essential, and previous clinical experience and/or additional qualifications in wildlife medicine would be advantageous.
