Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced clinical pharmacist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmaceutical Care Specialist in Paediatric Intensive Care, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients under the PICU service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to medication use in paediatric cardiology and intensive care patients.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff, promoting their professional development and growth within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or a relevant field.
  • Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council for Pharmacists and the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacists Group (NPPG).
  • Extensive experience in clinical pharmacy, particularly in paediatric cardiology and intensive care.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds.
