About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Learning and Skills Assessor to join our Health and Social Care team at Nottingham College.

As a Learning and Skills Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing the skills and knowledge of our students in the Health and Social Care sector. You will work closely with our tutors and employers to ensure that our students receive high-quality support and guidance throughout their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake workplace visits and assessments to evaluate student performance
  • Conduct progress reviews and mandatory observations with students at external placement providers
  • Sourcing potential work placements for students
  • Providing guidance and support to students to help them understand their role in the learning journey
  • Ensuring compliance with Conditions of Funding and maintaining accurate records of student progress
  • Collaborating with tutors and employers to deliver an outstanding learning experience
Requirements
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-organised and able to manage a caseload
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients
  • Good level of ICT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure funding rules are followed
  • Hold or be willing to work towards the IQA qualification (CAVA/A1/D32 D33, V1/D34, AET/PTLLS or be willing to work towards)
  • Full UK Driving Licence and own car (desirable)
