About the Role

Randstad is partnering with a local authority in South London to recruit a skilled Social Worker to join their Adult Locality Service team.

The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional care and support to vulnerable adults, promoting independence, well-being, and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and develop personalized care and support plans for adults with complex needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with service users, families, and other professionals to provide person-centered solutions and ensure effective care coordination.
  • Safeguarding and Protection: Undertake safeguarding investigations and take necessary actions to protect vulnerable adults from harm.
  • Advice and Advocacy: Provide guidance and support to individuals, helping them access services and achieve greater independence.
  • Caseload Management: Effectively manage a varied caseload, ensuring timely interventions and reviews to meet the needs of service users.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with legislative and organizational requirements.
  • Partnership Working: Collaborate with health services, voluntary organizations, and other local authority departments to ensure a multi-agency approach to care.
  • Service Development: Contribute to service development by sharing best practices and participating in team meetings to drive continuous improvement.
About You
  • Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England and proven experience in working with adults in a social care setting.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and Safeguarding Adults frameworks.
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Excellent assessment, care planning, and case management skills to ensure effective care coordination.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with service users, families, and professionals.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Proactive, solution-focused approach with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
