About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Podiatrist to join our dynamic team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for managing an inpatient clinical caseload, providing specialist podiatry input, and delivering health professional education sessions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage foot wounds and tissue breakdown in diabetic patients
  • Provide specialist podiatry input in the care plan of foot pathology, including debridement, antibiotics, and offloading
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team ward rounds and clinics for diabetic foot patients
  • Support the management of complex foot and ankle wounds and liaise with community nurses
  • Ensure seamless care pathways between inpatient and outpatient services

Person Specification

  • Experience in high-risk treatments and diabetic assessments
