Maintenance Manager

MC Technical Recruitment Ltd is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to join a biomass power station in the Suffolk area. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the maintenance function, including a team of multi-skilled technicians, ensuring plant downtime is kept to a minimum.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Managing short and long-term maintenance objectives for the site
Managing and directing a team of multi-skilled technicians to ensure minimum plant downtime and maximum availability
Planning and executing plant shutdowns/outages
Managing the department's maintenance budget
Overseeing the management of the maintenance schedule
Developing and maintaining records of plant maintenance, including work orders, PPMs, and planned and unplanned outages and inspections
Overseeing on-site contractors
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a HNC in a relevant engineering discipline, ideally mechanical, and at least 5 years of experience in maintenance/engineering in a relevant heavy process industry, ideally power generation. An IOSH or NEBOSH qualification would be preferred but is not essential. The successful candidate will receive a competitive basic salary up to £65,000 depending on experience, a site bonus, company pension, and holidays.
