Accurate Billing Coordinator

The Accurate Billing Coordinator role at Sharpsmart Ltd requires a detail-oriented individual to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of billing processes. This position involves processing and generating accurate billing, reviewing customer contracts, and resolving discrepancies.
About the Position:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our finance team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of billing processes and software applications, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and generate accurate billing
- Review and analyze customer contracts to ensure accurate billing according to agreed terms and pricing structures
- Resolve billing discrepancies by investigating and clarifying client queries or internal issues
- Ensure timely submission of invoices and work with relevant teams to track payment progress
- Maintain and update billing records in the system, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless billing processes
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc billing reports for management review
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations regarding billing and documentation
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance billing efficiency
- Assist with other accounting and finance functions as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Billing Analyst, Billing Coordinator, or in a similar role, ideally within healthcare, waste management, or another service-based industry
- Strong understanding of billing processes and software applications
- AAT qualification or equivalent would be advantageous
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with internal teams and external clients in a professional manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred) and other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive approach to process improvement and data accuracy
- Driving license and willingness to travel on occasion
