Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Safety Advisor to join our team at J. Murphy & Sons Ltd. As an experienced professional in civil engineering and construction, you will be responsible for advising and supporting our teams to ensure compliance with health and safety, quality, and environmental standards.

About the Role
  • Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: UK

In this role, you will work closely with our Asset Management Teams to identify and develop innovative solutions to improve our ways of working. You will also conduct site inspections, analyze data, and make recommendations to avoid non-conformances.

Responsibilities
  1. Advise and support our teams on Health and Safety and Quality responsibilities.
  2. Be the key point of contact for escalations or changes required to minimize the impact of our construction partners' work.
  3. Work knowledge of onsite best practices for construction activities.
  4. Collaborate with our teams to identify and develop innovative solutions to existing processes.
  5. Support Asset Management Teams to ensure compliance with all requirements.
  6. Carry out site inspections and analyze data to make recommendations.
  7. Input and collate data on SHESQ related issues into our database.
  8. Support Quality Management to ensure compliance with all requirements.
  9. Help ensure we are compliant with statutory undertakings.
Requirements
  • Previous relevant experience in civil engineering/construction.
  • Solid understanding of the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
  • Understanding of relevant safety standards for UK construction activities.
  • A full valid UK driving licence.
  • Prior knowledge of utility and energy industry, particularly NERS, GIRS, and WIRS, is preferred.
