The Bedford Hospital Radiology department is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Radiographer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills and experience in diagnostic imaging, working with a range of modalities including MR, CT, U/S, DEXA, Cardiac Suite, Radionuclide Imaging, General Radiography, Theatres and Portables.

As a Band 5 Radiographer, you will be responsible for performing a range of X-ray procedures, producing high-quality diagnostic images, and providing excellent patient care. You will work independently in the A&E, CCC, theatres, CCU, and wards for all plain X-ray and Image Intensifier procedures, providing first-line advice to medical and nursing staff on X-ray findings.

You will also participate in the departmental 'Red Dot' system, making an initial assessment of X-ray images, seeking advice from senior radiographers when necessary, and alerting medical staff to image abnormalities.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a friendly and high-performing team, committed to delivering the best patient care using the latest clinical knowledge and technology.

In return, we offer a competitive salary package, including a salary of £35,597 - £43,041 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as a pension scheme and opportunities for career development and progression.
