Job Title: Kitchen Supervisor

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per year

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Kitchen Operations: Oversee daily kitchen activities, ensuring all products are prepared safely, to the highest quality, and in line with customer specifications.
  • Scheduling and Team Management: Manage the kitchen schedule, lead a team of operatives, and drive efficiency while maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Kitchen Efficiency: Minimise waste by implementing corrective action plans and maintaining stock control.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate resources, raw materials, and staffing to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Team Development: Lead and develop team members, conducting regular reviews and appraisals.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and liaise with maintenance as required.
  • Quality Control: Conduct product tastings and quality checks, addressing any issues with management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyse key performance metrics (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Talent Acquisition and Development: Support recruitment, training, and development of team members.
  • Audit and Compliance: Participate in audits, investigations, and product trials to ensure compliance and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Candidates Profile: A hands-on leader with a solid background in kitchen operations, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Key Skills: Proactive, solutions-focused, and capable of motivating your team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using industrial kitchen equipment, IT proficiency including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
