Programme Overview

Sovereign & Bale seeks a skilled Health and Social Care Tutor to deliver high-quality training programs. The ideal candidate will have solid occupational experience in the field, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging Health and Social Care qualifications to learners. This includes Functional Skills Maths and English at Level 2, as well as Apprenticeships. The tutor will also conduct initial assessments, embed Functional Skills, British Values, and safeguarding principles into teaching sessions, and lead final exams and tests.

Main Responsibilities

  • Learner Engagement: Visit/observe learners in their workplace, gather evidence for Apprenticeships, and maintain regular contact with learners and employers.
  • Caseload Management: Effectively manage own caseload using e-portfolios to progress learners efficiently from start to timely completion.
  • Assessment and Quality Assurance: Conduct formal progress reviews, follow TAQA and QCF code of practice, and ensure a quality learner journey for all learners.
  • Professional Development: Attend standardization meetings, participate in professional development activities, and follow guidance given by the Team Leader.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Must hold solid, occupational experience within Health and Social Care (ideally at senior/supervisory level).
  • Qualifications: Hold Maths and English Functional Skills at Level 2 (or GCSE equivalents), relevant QCF Assessor and Verifier qualifications, and an IAG qualification.

Earnings Estimate

The salary range for this position is £26,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive compensation package that reflects the skills and qualifications required for this role.
