Cathedral Musician

Liverpool Cathedral is seeking a highly skilled Choral Scholar to join its music team. As a member of the Cathedral Choir, you will sing alongside experienced musicians and contribute to the delivery of high-quality music services.

The scholarship is provided by the cathedral's music trust, which aims to educate young singers in the traditions of classical music. You will be expected to assist with mentoring younger choristers on a rotational basis, as well as participate in the busy life of the Music Department.

As a Choral Scholar, you will be involved in singing at various services throughout the week, including choral evensong and Eucharist. You will also have opportunities to take part in concert performances, choir tours, and outreach programs within the community.

To be successful in this role, you will require excellent singing skills, good sight-reading abilities, and a strong work ethic. You should also be willing to complete an enhanced DBS application and adhere to the cathedral's safeguarding policies.

In return for your talents, you can expect to receive a salary of £5,163 per annum, which includes free accommodation and access to a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program.
