About the Role

We're seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Support Coordinator to join our Personal Injury team in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in delivering a smooth transition of new clients from acute NHS services and liaising with treating medical, therapeutic, and care staff regarding discharge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering a seamless transition of new clients from acute NHS services
  • Liaising with treating medical, therapeutic, and care staff regarding discharge
  • Providing advice and practical support regarding services and support available locally
  • Achieving resolution of client problems by building relationships and working collaboratively with relevant bodies
  • Facilitating the promotion of Irwin Mitchell and its services by delivering training and identifying links with potential new client referrers

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience working within the UK healthcare or social care system in a qualified/registered role
  • Experience of working environments with a passion for high-quality client-centred practice
  • Knowledge of healthcare, rehabilitation, welfare policy, and advocacy services
  • Understanding of relevant rehabilitation codes, Mental Capacity Act, and welfare benefits
  • Awareness of external stakeholders (Headway, SIA, Aspire)
  • Experience working in a clinical, health/social care, or rehabilitation setting
  • Understanding of complex and multifaceted conditions (e.g. brain, spinal cord injury, orthopaedic injury, birth injury, industrial disease, bereavement)
  • Experience of working in multiple settings (e.g. acute, post-acute, community settings)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car
