About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled North of England Policy Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our strategy and policy function, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering our integrated approach to the Strategic Transport Plan (STP).

Your main responsibilities will include:

">
  • ">
  • Providing strategic oversight and integration of relevant workstreams, managing interdependencies, and identifying and delivering further evidence and/or policy development where necessary.">
  • Working across TfN to support the STP's three strategic ambitions: economic growth, decarbonisation, and reducing transport-related social exclusion.">
  • Developing and delivering high-quality policy advice to support the development and delivery of the STP and its associated policy positions.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of working in transport strategy and policy development, or in a related area of local economic development and planning. You must also have a good understanding of national and regional policy context, transport policy, and regulatory frameworks.
