Main Purpose of Job
The primary objective of this position is to provide comprehensive substance abuse counseling and case management services to clients struggling with addiction, adhering to the standards set by Drug Court, Detention Center, and Outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients with substance abuse disorders.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address clients' unique needs and goals.
• Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
• A degree in a relevant field, such as counseling or psychology, as determined by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.
• Certification as a Certified Associate Counselor-Alcohol and Drug, as required by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.
• A valid motor vehicle operator's license in the State of Maryland, if assigned to duties requiring vehicle operation.
