Location: Highfields Spencer Academy, Littleover, Derby, DE23 3UX


Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Playworker to join our team at Highfields Spencer Academy in Derby. As a Playworker, you will be responsible for planning and executing structured and exciting activities for children, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Plan and execute activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, and structured play.
  • Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, including sign-in and sign-out processes.
  • Provide refreshments for the children, maintaining high standards of hygiene and health and safety.
  • Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
  • Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools.

Requirements:



  • Compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy.
  • Exemption from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
  • Two references, one from your most recent employer and one from a childcare setting (if applicable).
  • DBS check.
