About the Role

Howard Civil Engineering is a leading civil engineering company that prides itself on building strong, trustworthy relationships with clients. As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will be part of a client-focused organization that values development and understanding of the construction process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the commercial aspects of dedicated sites across Yorkshire, ensuring cost control and accuracy.
  • Produce monthly cost and value forecasts, as well as prepare and submit applications for payment.
  • Procure, assess, and reconcile sub-contractor applications, and track changes to design and capture variations.
  • Review progress against programme and ensure cost value reconciliation on schemes.
  • Assist in the tendering process and provide contract support to Contracts and Site Managers.
Requirements
  • Either graduating in 2024 or have recently completed a suitable masters or bachelor's from a relevant commercial course, with a minimum grade of 2:2.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal.
  • Passionate about the civil engineering sector and strong I.T skills, competent with Microsoft tools.
  • A keen eye for detail and punctual with good time keeping.
