We are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm to appoint a SHEQ Manager. As a SHEQ Manager, you will lead and implement the organisation's Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality strategies, ensuring compliance, safety, and continuous improvement across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Lead and conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify areas for improvement and to mitigate risks.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by delivering training and awareness programs for staff at all levels.
  • Oversee incident reporting and investigation processes, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are applied.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to establish and meet SHEQ objectives aligned with company goals.
  • Prepare and present SHEQ reports and metrics to senior management, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar Health and Safety role.
  • Relevant NEBOSH qualification.
  • Experience with ISO.
  • Experience with investigations, audits, inspections, compiling reports and making recommendations as appropriate.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing.
  • Good communication skills, including written, oral and presentation skills.
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Office).

Desirable:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • Internal auditor certification.
  • Environmental certification.
