Residential Care Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Assistant to join our team at Essex County Council. As a Residential Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to adults in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centred care and support to individuals, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with adults, their families, and other professionals to ensure a seamless care experience.
- Monitor and report any concerns or issues related to the care and well-being of individuals.
- Support individuals to access social and leisure activities, promoting their engagement and participation.
- Ensure a safe and respectful environment for all individuals, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Educated to RQF Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent, with a willingness to achieve the award within 24 months of starting the role.
- Experience within a social care setting, with a focus on working with adults with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop a rapport with diverse groups of individuals.
- Awareness of a person-centred approach, with a commitment to respecting dignity and privacy.
- Understanding of relevant legislation and policies, including the Mental Capacity Act and the Care Act.
