Finance Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Lead to join our team at HM Treasury. As a key member of our People and Capability team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our learning and development offer and ensuring it reaches our intended audience in an engaging and impactful way.
About the RoleThe Finance Function is a critical component of the Civil Service, comprising over 10,500 FTE spread across 39 Government organisations. We are looking for a Finance Lead who can work across departmental boundaries as a trusted partner, utilising their professional skills and experiences to build a strong network across internal and external partners at all levels.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and delivery of the Finance Professional Development offer across the Civil Service.
- Provide expert oversight of GFF professional training schemes.
- Oversight, development and delivery of the Finance Fast Stream offer.
- Ensure the Finance Fast Stream is fit for purpose at all stages.
- Lead development and delivery of the Finance Apprenticeship offer for the function.
- Create and maintain professional communities to support professional development including events for Fast Stream, Apprentices, Senior Leaders and other groups.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess confident and effective communication skills both orally and in writing, with people within and outside the GFF. You will have experience working in learning / L&D and a passion for building skills and capability across government with an understanding of Civil Service Learning Frameworks desirable. Lastly, you will have strong research and analysis skills including the ability to present data insights with impact.
