This position oversees the smooth operation of automated equipment during production, ensuring seamless setup, data analysis, and improvement areas. The successful candidate will effectively communicate with Operations Managers, Shift Managers, Engineering, and Automation Tech teams to monitor production lines, report issues, and solve problems.
Key Responsibilities- Use Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) and Production Control Systems (PCS) to ensure machine statuses are active and correctly set up.
- Identify and anticipate conveyor jams, notifying engineering if needed and ensuring balanced box flow.
- Conduct regular checks on line throughput, analyzing choke points, and taking remedial action to address any issues.
- Effectively coordinate service and support functions to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
- Provide reports and analysis on machine performance.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or distribution centre environment.
- Proficiency in using computer software and systems.
- Problem-solving skills and the agility to make decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communications skills and ability to positively collaborate across teams and departments.
