Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domestic Assistant to join our team at one of our residential care homes. As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and positive environment for our service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in providing and maintaining a safe, clean, and positive environment for service users
- Work as part of a team to ensure that the residence and learning environment are cleaned to a high standard
- Deal with personal hygiene issues, such as incontinence, in a sensitive and respectful manner
- Use domestic and professional cleaning equipment, including powered floor polishers and vacuum cleaners
- Strip and make beds, clean rooms as needed, and maintain the overall cleanliness of the care home
- Be responsible for your own and others' health and safety at all times
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive and proactive approach to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Self-motivated, flexible, and efficient individual who takes pride in their work
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure
