Job SummaryThis is a permanent position based in the UK, reporting to the National Operations Director. As an Energy Sustainability Professional, you will play a pivotal role in steering the organisation towards a more sustainable and efficient energy future while supporting overall business objectives.
Responsibilities:- Energy Strategy Development: Identify innovative solutions to generate energy or reduce consumption and drive cost efficiencies within the organisation.
- Tariff Analysis: Understand energy tariffs and develop and implement an energy strategy aligned with business goals.
- Reporting and Monitoring: Report energy performance to senior management and monitor progress of current energy reduction programmes.
- Innovation and Research: Research and understand proposed government and technological innovations and propose funding strategies for long-term energy optimisation.
To be successful in this role, you will have a degree in Energy Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field and a proven track record of developing and implementing sustainability and energy optimisation solutions within a manufacturing environment.
You will also need to demonstrate:
- A strategic thinker with a proactive approach to energy management.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies and trends.
- An ability to develop and execute the energy strategy aligned with business goals.
- Confidence to identify emerging trends and technologies in energy management and sustainability.
