Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support students' educational development in the Maidstone area. In this role, you will work closely with experienced teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students, including personalized learning activities and small group sessions.
  • Assist teachers in preparing and organizing materials and resources to inspire a love of learning.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students' well-being and safeguarding.
  • Assist in managing student behavior and promoting positive social interactions.
  • Help assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with SEN children, preferably in a teaching assistant role.
  • A genuine passion for fostering a love of learning in students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, teachers, and parents/carers.
  • Strong organizational abilities and the capability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities.
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • A relevant qualification or a willingness to undertake training.
