About the Role:

In this dynamic and rewarding position, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of young people. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to students within the classroom environment, fostering an atmosphere of inclusivity and respect. Your role will involve managing and supporting the behavior of pupils, collaborating with the class teacher to create a positive learning environment, and taking initiative to support pupils and aid the class teacher as needed.


Your Responsibilities:


  • Support class teacher in creating an active learning environment
  • Manage and support the behavior of pupils within the classroom environment and on a 1:1 basis
  • Take initiative in the classroom to support pupils and aid the class teacher and/or other teaching assistants
  • Be prepared and confident to take over parts or all of a lesson at short notice if required
  • Support pupils in developing their skills and confidence

DBS on the Update Service:

You will need to have a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to purchase one.
