Role Overview

We are seeking an Environmental Policy Expert to join our team as an Assistant Lecturer in Management. This is a fixed-term position available for 4 years, due to limited funding.

About the Role

We are recruiting an Assistant Professor in Climate, Environment and Urban Policy with a focus on Energy and Climate, who will contribute to the development and teaching of our new MSt in Climate, Environment and Urban Policy programme. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake primarily quantitative or mixed-methods research in one or more of the disciplinary areas in Land Economy applied to energy, climate systems and sustainability transitions; identify sources of funding for such research and build on and expand our network of contacts working in those areas; teach on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in areas related to their expertise, including economics and policy-related components and modules; and make a general contribution to the running and management of the Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver teaching for the new MSt programme;
  • Contribute to other teaching in the Department where appropriate.
Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate evidence of research of international standing, show a willingness and ability to contribute collegially to the life of the Department, and possess a flexible approach to teaching and administrative duties.
