As an Advanced Phlebotomy Specialist with SYNLAB UK, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our phlebotomy services across Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital, Southend University Hospital, and local community clinics. This position offers a unique blend of clinical expertise and administrative skills, making it an exciting opportunity for those who thrive in fast-paced environments.

The estimated salary for this role is £24,000 - £33,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for taking blood samples from patients for pathology services, ensuring correct order of draw and safe specimen handling.

You will also provide a venepuncture service to patients and service users at community health centres and to housebound patients, showcasing your ability to adapt to diverse settings. In addition, you will book patients in the phlebotomy clinic software 'Swiftqueue,' highlighting your proficiency in technology and data management.

This role requires a combination of shifts, including early and late shifts, with weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis. To succeed, you must have at least 12 months' experience as a phlebotomist in a healthcare setting, along with a phlebotomy qualification. A car driver and owner are also essential requirements, allowing you to travel between locations efficiently.
