Bennett and Game Recruitment are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specification Manager to join their team in Chichester, West Sussex. As a specialist recruitment agency, they operate across the UK with a strong presence in various industries.

Job Description:
  • Specification Acquisition: Lead the specification process for aluminium facades and other key products, collaborating closely with architects, technical specifiers, and commercial clients to ensure our products are specified early on in project development.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain robust relationships with new and existing clients, providing expert guidance and support to integrate company products into their projects.
  • Market Analysis: Utilise extensive market knowledge to conduct research, identify new opportunities, and stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor analysis, and product offerings.
  • Technical Sales: Leverage expertise of the facades market to influence client specifications and decisions, delivering detailed product presentations and demonstrations that highlight product benefits aligned with client needs.
  • Project Support: Collaborate across the project supply chain to ensure correct interpretation and implementation of specifications, providing technical support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Training and Development: Offer training sessions for internal and external stakeholders, including clients, architects, specifiers, and colleagues, to increase product knowledge.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation of specifications.
  • CRM and Data Management: Ensure adherence to the Group CRM system and maintain an excellent level of information on project updates, client and customer interactions, and outcomes.
  • NPD Support: Engage with and support the NPD process, using customer-facing experience to highlight potential NPD opportunities, gaps in our offer, and support the growth of our NPD sales.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in facades specification or technical sales with a focus on aluminium facades.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and work colleagues.
  • Able to build relationships with suppliers and collaborate closely with commercial sales teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and AutoCAD preferable.
  • Strong organisational skills and effective time management to meet established deadlines.
