Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at HMP The Mount, a category C prison in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. As a key member of our integrated Mental Health team, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service and lead senior mental health clinicians on service developments.
  • Work within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in complex case reviews.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to junior staff members.
Requirements
  • Registration in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry.
  • Understanding of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
  • Up-to-date knowledge in adult psychiatry and PD awareness.
  • Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy, and legislation.
