We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced House Steward to join our team at a large estate in Dorset. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of the family and property, including maintaining all necessary systems and providing training to household staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Butler with ensuring the security and safety of the family and property
- Maintain all necessary systems, including fire and security systems
- Provide training to household staff
- Manage the maintenance and repairs of the property, overseeing service work as needed
- Provide butlers' services, including receiving guests, attending meals, managing household items, and maintaining the wine and drink inventories
- Care for the family pets and general household tasks, such as cleaning, vehicle maintenance, and seasonal duties at a second residence
- Manage the swimming pool and Pool House during summer, ensuring cleanliness and adequate stock of refreshments
- Perform routine tasks, including maintaining fireplaces, boilers, and household consumables
Working Arrangements:
This is a live-in position with a two-bedroom flat provided (utilities paid). Partner and pets are welcome. The role will commence once the right candidate is found.
Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience.
