About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Support Worker to join our team at a stunning children's residential service. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and care to young people aged 8-18 who present with emotional, behavioural, and complex interpersonal needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives.
  • Maintain a safe and homely environment, promoting the well-being and independence of the young people.
  • Deal with challenging behaviours in a safe and sympathetic manner.
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Requirements:

  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People is desirable.
  • 1-year experience in a residential children's home environment is desirable.
  • A full driving licence is essential, as you may be required to transport the children from time to time.
  • Ability to work the shift pattern (8am-10pm plus sleep ins).
