We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Education Assistant to join our dynamic educational team at Supply Desk. As a Teaching Assistant for Early Years, you will play a vital role in supporting the classroom teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities for early years students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for early years students.
  • Provide individual and group support to children, helping them to develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Support children in their learning by providing feedback and encouragement.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all children feel valued and supported.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement appropriate educational strategies and interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing feedback on children's progress and addressing any concerns or queries.

Requirements:

  • Hold a minimum of a Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
  • Have experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Possess a strong understanding of child development and early years curriculum frameworks.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with young children.
  • Display a caring and nurturing attitude, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Show enthusiasm and creativity in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
  • Be organized, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Have a commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
  • Hold a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or be willing to obtain one.
