We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEND school in High Wycombe. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with ASC, PMLD, and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Work 1 to 1 or with small groups to support learning and development
- Support children inside and outside the classroom, including supervising break and lunch times
- Be a positive role model and provide emotional support to children
- Support with medical needs, including administering medication and providing personal care
- Prepare the classroom and resources to ensure a safe and engaging learning environment
- Collaborate with the Class Teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans
- Report on progress, well-being, and behaviors to the Class Teacher and other relevant staff
- Support to de-escalate challenging behaviors and promote positive relationships
- Attend regular training and meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Comfortable with personal care and able to provide emotional support to children
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
- Competitive daily rate of £85-£100
- Temp to perm opportunities
- Free child protection and prevent duty training
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
