Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV driver to join our team in Ashford. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and delivering customer vehicles safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting and delivering vehicles safely
- Loading vehicles with test weights and conducting brake testing
- Conducting pre-checks on vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy and reporting any issues or damages promptly
- Completing all necessary paperwork and ensuring records are kept up to date
- Adhering to regulations to ensure compliance with UK road traffic laws, transport regulations, and company policies
Requirements:
- C HGV Class 2 driving licence (essential)
- C+E HGV Class 1 driving licence (desirable)
- Experience in driving heavy goods vehicles
- Knowledge of UK driving regulations
- Ability to complete and maintain accurate paperwork
- Good communication and customer service skills
