Job Overview

Excelcare Holdings is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lifestyle Activities Coordinator to join our team at The Willows Care Home in Milton Keynes. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating and organizing engaging activities and lifestyle programmes that enrich the lives of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement meaningful and engaging activities and lifestyle programmes that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Collaborate with our care team, family members, and residents to understand their preferences and create activities that promote social interaction, physical activity, and mental stimulation.
  • Establish partnerships with local community organizations, schools, colleges, churches, and other external organizations to provide a wide range of activities and experiences.
  • Plan and organize days out and excursions to local attractions, promoting independence and socialization among our residents.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our activities and programmes, making adjustments as needed to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our residents.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role or previous experience in a caring environment is desirable.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality activities and programmes.
  • Confident and enthusiastic, with a passion for improving the lives of older people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the changing needs of our residents.
