Job Title: Traffic and Transportation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic and Transportation Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will have a strong background in transportation planning and engineering, with experience in traffic modelling, signal design, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare transport assessments, statements, travel plans, and transport appraisals.
  • Conduct traffic modelling using Junctions 9, LinSig, and Paramics software.
  • Design and prepare traffic signal drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Develop compliant solutions to improve road and junction performance.
  • Attend project team meetings and conduct site visits.
  • Work on projects within agreed budgetary limits and timescales.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline with 3+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Masters degree in Transport Planning an advantage.
  • Understanding of development planning process in Scotland.
  • Experience in preparing transport assessments, statements, travel plans, and transport appraisals.
  • Good report writing skills in English.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Publisher.
  • Experience in using AutoCAD, TRICS, Junctions 9, and LinSig software.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach to working in a team structure.
  • Driving license.
