Water Instructor

As a Swimming Teacher at our Leisure centres, you will be part of a fun and lively environment with like-minded people. You will help customers achieve their swimming goals, from learning to swim to becoming stronger and more confident in the water.

Our swimmer development stages are based on the National Plan for Teaching Swimming. To succeed in this role, you should hold a minimum of UKCC Level 2 qualification. A Lifesaving Qualification (NPLQ or NRASTC) would be advantageous but not essential. We can support you in achieving these qualifications through our continuous learning and development opportunities.

We offer ongoing training and development opportunities, including support with your NPLQ or NRASTC qualifications, customer service skills and more. As a Swimming Teacher, you will work with customers in groups and one-on-one to motivate and instruct them during lessons.

To be successful in this role, you should be a friendly, approachable and patient individual with the ability to build trust, encourage and motivate your students. You should thrive on supporting students to achieve their potential, drawing on your knowledge and experience of industry best practice.
