Job Description

As a dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will join our acute assessment team at Leighton Hospital. Your primary responsibility will be providing top-tier care and assessments for patients with various acute conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support rehabilitation, promote quality of life, and empower patients to reach their potential.

  • You will conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in a general acute setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Collaborate with physiotherapists, nurses, consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Monitor and evaluate treatment progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet evolving patient needs.
  • Educate and support patients and families to facilitate a smooth transition from hospital to home.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • At least six months of NHS experience, preferably in an acute hospital setting.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Dedication to patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.
