Job Description
This Contract Thermal Engineer position involves leading and supporting the development of a full vehicle thermal management system from concept to prototype vehicle validation.
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience of working on automotive/vehicle projects focused on thermal energy management and vehicle energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing a full vehicle thermal management system from concept to prototype vehicle validation.
- Using 1D model-based design techniques for the size and validation of the vehicle thermal management system architecture.
- Conducting system-level performance development tests of the vehicle thermal management system.
- Defining the control logic and modeling it for the full vehicle thermal management system.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Degree-qualified in an automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of thermodynamic principles.
- Previous experience of 1D modeling and simulation (GT-Suite would be perfect).
Benefits
A competitive hourly rate of £45.00 - £55.00 per hour commensurate with experience on an inside IR35 PAYE contract basis.
Some opportunity to work from home as appropriate according to project requirements.
