Barnett Waddingham LLP is seeking an experienced Data Protection and Information Security Expert to join their team.

This is a full-time, permanent role that offers a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, paid on a monthly basis, as well as benefits including 25 days annual leave, pension scheme, and life insurance.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive data protection strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements. This will include creating and maintaining data protection policies, standards, training, and guidance notes to ensure compliance with applicable laws and best practices.

  • Develop and execute a data protection strategy
  • Create and maintain data protection policies
  • Provide expert advice on privacy-related matters
  • Facilitate the development and maintenance of the ISO27001 ISMS
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans
  • Ensure adequate internal action and timely response for data security related incidents

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in information security and data protection, with a strong understanding of ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials certification requirements. They should also have experience in writing and implementing policies and procedures, as well as managing an information security awareness programme.
