Job Title: English Language and Literature Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Language and Literature specialist to join our team of teachers across secondary schools in Northampton. As a specialist in English, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, inspiring a love of reading, writing, and critical analysis through engaging lesson plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Inspire students through engaging lesson plans and a passion for education.
  • Tailor lessons to suit a wide range of learning abilities and needs.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents and staff.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialism in English, with experience teaching English Language and Literature at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to inspire students across diverse learning environments.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for education and commitment to student success.
