Job Summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team. As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of electronics and PCBs for our product range.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design and develop digital and analogue electronics, including PCBs, to meet customer requirements.
  • Legacy Product Maintenance: Maintain the functionality of legacy products, ensuring they continue to meet customer needs.
  • Component Selection: Select electronics and auxiliaries to meet customer requirements, ensuring cost and quality management.
Requirements
  • Electronics Design Knowledge: In-depth knowledge and understanding of electronics design, including digital, analogue, power, and high-temperature electronics.
  • Signal Conditioning: Good familiarity with signal conditioning techniques.
  • Embedded Systems: Experience with embedded microcontroller use and bare metal low-level code for simple applications.
  • Communication Protocols: Strong understanding of digital protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, and CAN.
  • PCB Design and Prototyping: Comfortable with a wide range of activities from PCB design to prototype manufacture.
  • Testing and Validation: Design, testing, verification, and validation of hardware and software.
Desirable Skills
  • Programming Languages: Knowledge of embedded C, Assembly, and Embedded C++ programming beneficial.
  • PLC/SCADA Programming: Any experience with PLC/SCADA programming would be beneficial.
  • Electrical Diagnostic: General electrical and/or electronic diagnostic experience beneficial.
  • Electrical Wiring: Familiarity with industrial motor wiring, including UL/CSA safety and CE approvals (Technical conformance file).
Salary and Benefits

Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE (dependent on experience).
