Hiring a Learning Support Professional for a Primary-Aged SEND School in Surrey, UK.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Professional to join our team at an SEND school in the heart of Surrey. The ideal candidate will have a background in care or education and be passionate about working with students with special needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide individualised support to primary-aged students with a range of needs, including severe learning needs, complex needs, autism, and social and emotional mental health needs.
  • To work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning plans.
  • To maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to ongoing assessments.
Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, psychology) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working with students with SEND.
  • An understanding of child development theories and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
